Dear Viewers,

I decided to change up the format slightly and add more pictures. These photographs were taken in San Francisco on Haight-Ashbury St. by my reliable self-timer! The City was so beautiful and I was feeling so inspired that I had to feature and share them with you. Besides the fact that it isn’t creepy at all when passerby’s see me and eyeball in wonder, why on earth is this girl taking pictures of herself. Oh well?! Let me start by saying I admire the fact that the location I chose was perfect! San Francisco is a place to absorb creativity, urban culture, aesthetic people and architecture. I could explain so much more in greater detail, but in order to truly understand what I am talking about you have to experience it for yourself. Although for those of you who have been, have an idea of what I am trying to say. I only say this because all people experience visiting The City in there own way. It is all how you interpret art, appreciate structural beauty and honor the history. What comes with the greatness of being around such an influential atmosphere is the walking street fashion, from which I gravitate towards the most. I chose to wear what I wore today, because one, this California weather is starting to heat up and shorts and a shirt sounded logical. Second, only the brave and skilled strut the pavement in however high inched heels in SF. With that said, flats were my best bet! My motive and inspiration came from Olive Oyl (Popeye the Sailors Gf). You can never go wrong with a 50’s modern twist and a hint of sailor crew syndrome.  Which brings me to tell you how I found this vintage 50’s clothing boutique called Bettie Page Clothing www.bettiepageclothing.com. Boy was I so excited to try on everything, it is so fun and exciting to dress up in clothes from our grandparents past time! I am telling you this store was the cherry on top of my evening, even the store employees where in character. They were all dolled and pinned up with rolled up sleeves, combed greased hair, red lips and high wasted trousers! Definitely a store you do not want to miss when on Haight St., along with many others! Moving right along, I almost forgot to tell you all that I am finally going to New York!!! Yes, I get to marvel in the Big Apple, words can’t describe how remotely excited I am! Not until I get back will I be posting any features, until then I am going to have so many amazing photos and outfits to share that I wore and took while in NY! So make sure to stay posted! My fashion motto for today is, having little money is no excuse to looking golden, those with passion and creativity will make ends meet, if you feel luminous inside, trust that the light WILL always shine through.
