I will miss you NEW YORK:(
Dear Viewers,
Now that the month of July has finally begun, I am happy to show you pictures from my summer trip to New York City. Like I had promised in the previous June post. Since visiting New York was my graduation gift from my parents, I would like to take a moment and give them a thank you acknowledgement! I couldn't have asked for anything more or better, this venture was the perfect way to escape actuality and soak in all new and prospering inspiration. With that said, ma and pa you are greatly appreciated and loved for giving me such a marvelous and wonderful opportunity. Following right along, while in NY, I wasn't planning on spending my voyage on shopping and spending loads of money. One word of advice viewers, NY lifestyle is... lets just say, is on the more invaluable side. Although, I did get a few miscellaneous jewelry items from street vendors and some souvenirs for my friends and family, I concentrated more on sightseeing and taking loads of pictures. I will do my best to explain everything in chronological order by the days that I was their. After getting out of the airport with a "blissful" humid awakening we were escorted to a taxi, where me and my wingman, Ellie, where taken to our hotel stay. Eagerly after checking in and getting dressed for a big day ahead of us, we roamed off to breakfast and set off to Central Park. Now, being in Central Park is nothing compared to how you see it in the movies. At least in my opinion, it is even more romantic, beautiful, refreshing and peacful in its actual presence. First check off of our to do list! Followed by our long treacherous journey, without wasting any time, we decided that our next stop would be at The Met Museum. Where I could fianlly see the Schiaparlli & Prada "Impossible Conversatons," exhibit!! Seeing the grand collection was almost overwhelming, due to the fact that I would read reviews only online, but never thought I would actually be given the chance to experience it for myself. It only last till August, but if any of you are interested on learning about the exhibition, then I would definitely check out the reviews online. Even though The Met was crowded with an abundance of art, ancient artifacts and beautiful marble sculptures, we had to resist and continue on our checklist. Later that night we were finally exposed to the most talked about, New York Pizza! And no, it is not just a myth when people boast about how New York Pizza is the best! Oh yes my friends, I was in dear heaven the moment I bit into the cheesy melted, thin crusted wonderland slice of freshly cooked dough.( Now thats a sentence for ya!) To avoid your mouths from drooling, I will move on to tell you that we walked off this slice of what I call, a gourmet diner, all the way to the top of the Empire State Building. Now what I am about to tell you, is a story about a girl who finds her true love and believes it to be magic, because it is only in fairy tales that momemts like these exist in a life time. I feel my hands getting clamy as I see the number on the elevator reach its 3rd digit,it was at the 120th floor that there was this utter moment of breathe takeing silence. Overlooking all of New York was pure beauty and awe, although we were on top of New York City, I felt like I was on top of the world. It was crazy, and it was nuts to me, how I had finally made it here! The one place where I thought only existed in movies, dreams and in fairy tales. Definitely an experience I will never forget and will always cherish forever.<3 Further along, the 3 days following that wonderous evening, where filled with scrumchious food, night tours in Brooklyn, breakfast at Tiffany's, Times Square famous night life, spontaneous people, broadway musicals, active urban culture, and tones of fashion inspiration. I had the time of my life in New York City and it has not seen the last of me. Why you may ask? It is because I am a girl in search of adventure, and there is adventure in every street corner of New Yawk. This is only the begining...until next time that is! Small Girl VS. Big City!:D
Enjoy Viewers, Jazelle <3
