Dear Viewers,
This month of September has been a rollercoaster for me! All my apologies go out to the blog update delay. I was in and still am in adjusting to moving and working out my schedule with this new lifestyle of mine. I have recently started my first semester of college at Academy of Art University in San Francisco, as a Multi Media Communications major and a minor in Fashion Journalism. It is already my second week of school and I am having a blast! Not only that, but I have a new home and a new job, with that said it is quite difficult to manage a social life, me time and relaxation. None the less I am adapting fairly well and I can’t wait to take you on the wild journey’s awaiting in this new beginning chapter. Moving right along, I love the location of my new home; I have yet to explore my atmosphere so that way I can find neat new locations to take my pictures. With further adou, I hope you appreciate the simplicity of the generic front yard and street backgrounds I have chosen. (Think of it as an introduction!) Speaking of simplicity, I chose to feature this outfit because of its minimalistic vibe. On a sunny cool day, it is always nice to throw on some comfortable jeans, a white tank top and a scarf to accessorize. I am sure this outfit is very much relatable to us girls, don’t worry ladies the paparazzi isn’t always lurking… take a breather... Along with my sporadic news, there is some other well-known excitement going on this month in the fashion world as well! The September Issue’s, Fashion Night Out and Fashion Week! Thank goodness for the iphone, I feel like anything is possible with this device! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend San Francisco’s FNO like planned, but luckily I was able to dash out early and make it to my local mall’s celebration at H&M! Upon walking in we were introduced to a glamorous red carpet just outside, which was to say the least, FABULOUS! Unfortunately we had just missed the event, but we weren’t going to let anything stop us from missing the 30 % off everything in the store that evening! There was a guest DJ jamming her tunes, pastries and sales waiting to be purchased. It was well worth my time and efforts to attempt to make it to the event, so yes I can officially say I was a part of Fashion Night Out! I hope those of you reading got to experience FNO in your local town and had a blast as well! Again I am sorry that I am so “fashionably” late on the updates, FNO and New York Fashion Week were two weeks ago. I am sure for the selected few in my position understand and empathize. Thank you for that! Last but not least, today marks the first official day of fall, September 22nd and it is the beginning to Milan Fashion Week! Stay tuned and keep updated with those runway shows ladies! If you haven’t already, make sure to check out Prada’s S/S’13 collection and Marc Jacobs S/S’13. It is such a crazy coincidence because Marc and Muiccia seem to feel that pants should not be a requirement in their shows! I feel like they had the same creative aesthetic mind set, when designing their looks! The two designers are remarkable and I love to see them succeed, they never fail to awe me! Also, just a quick side note, you may be wondering why it is that I have a Frida Kahlo book and from the looks of it, a bowl of salad. Well viewers, it’s because I have to learn to eat more at home and cook for myself. I made a black bean salad with brown rice and out of 10 I rate it a 5, lol not the best thing I have ever tasted. Yikes! As far as the book goes, it is taking me longer than I expected to read it! Soon, I must! I am not too far along from being finished, and I want to hurry so I can read the other books on my list! Finally viewers, my advice for you is this…There is always time for fashion, my cousin Ellie always tells me, “You will make it work!” If you have a passion for something, nothing should retain you from succeeding! I have learned that no matter what situation I am in, reading a magazine or learning about the art and people uplifts my mood and inspires me! If it works for me, I guarantee it will do the same for you! Thanks you for reading and stay posted!!Ciao!
